Whilst researching for my newest collection - Wight Words - I feel I took a journey through traditional Isle of Wight, delving into the old language and words that have shaped the island's identity.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;\">The Isle of Wight dialect is in fact a <u>regional<\/u> dialect of English and is thought to have developed and grown from the Old English dialects spoken by the early settlers on the island.
